Two meditators had been sitting under a tree to attain salvation. An angel appeared and gave the news to the first one “It’s going to take you another 4 lifetimes to attain salvation”. The frustrated guy got up and said, “That’s it, I’m done going through this torture” and walked away. The angel went to the other guy and said, “It’ll take you as many lifetimes as the number of leaves on this tree”. The guy started dancing and said “Wow, at least there is a number. I thought I would never get salvation!” And he was liberated that moment. Definitions make all the difference. The definitions that go on in our head. When we look at hardships and think all “life is so tiresome” And yet they can be another person who looks at the same hardships and feels “I need to overcome those challenges.” Do you think the outcomes are going to be the same? It doesn’t matter how many times you fall, what matters is how many times you get up to walk again.
