After Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch for production of pornographic films, he was produced before the 37th metropolitan magistrate on Tuesday and remanded in custody till July 23. The police have stated that Raj Kundra was involved in the streaming of porn videos through mobile apps.
Now, a 27-year-old victim of the pornography racket has talked exclusively to The Daily Guardian about the horror and ordeal. The victim said: “I was not aware about the dirty game that was going on. I was told work is for some kind of series and short films. They said there is some kind of audition or short movie; so you will have to join us. They called us to a location in Madh Island in Mumbai’s Malad area which is too far from the main city. On reaching there, everything seemed like a perfect spot for a shooting location. No one would have understood that we were being fooled and in the name of serials and short films, porn was being shot. At first, they gave us one short story to work on, then proper make up was done; later, before the shoot started, they said ‘you have a nude scene with a girl and boy both’ and then you are asked to indulge nudity and when you object to do one, they torture you as they all in a group and the victim is all alone. They threaten you and say that if you have to go and leave the project, then you will have to pay Rs 10 lakh as you have already signed the contract. They take your phone because shooting is about to ‘start’ and surround you and threaten you.”
“There is no such agreement or contract that is there—they cheat you in the name of agreement and contract and they say that we are working with big people, so you can’t even touch us or complain that we are doing wrong things. If you do so, then we will do your name shaming. Then, I started crying and I started feeling weak after which they gave me a drink and told me it is an energy drink and I will feel refreshed. On drinking it, I became senseless and everything was shot that I never wanted to do. On the second day when I came to consciousness, I saw I was at the home of one madam Alisha; there were also several other camera persons. After one month, I got to know that my inappropriate videos where all across the internet via some or other applications,” she said.
The victim further told this newspaper: “And that’s when I went to a lawyer and filed a complaint with the Mumbai police. I demand rape charges on the accused as I was not even aware of what happened with me. I never knew that this link is connected to Raj Kundra—though I was aware that Gehna Vashisht was part of such groups. I also demand compensation as today they have done crores of business and my whole life has been shattered. I have to bear social boycott and face trauma—my whole personal and professional life has gone for a toss!”
