A video of former AIADMK member AV Raju talking about Trisha has gone viral and actor Trisha and other film celebrities from Tamil cinema have reacted to it. The Film Employees Federation of South India released an official statement asking the government to take legal action against Raju after he passed derogatory comments against Trisha.

AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami has said people have slammed AV Raju as reported in the media and added that he has already been dismissed from the AIADMK for his crooked ways. Meanwhile, former minister D Jayakumar has said that stringent action needs to be taken against AV Raju for his derogatory remarks about Trisha.
BJP’s Khusbu Sundar wrote on X: “These men just show their upbringing, desperation & frustration. You are much stronger and more powerful than them. Continue your journey with the same dignity and respect. More power to you gorgeous.”

In the video, AV Raju is clearly seen talking about the actor in a derogatory manner where he alleges that someone paid Rs 25 lakh to bring Trisha to a resort. After the video went viral, Trisha took to social media to hit back at him. The Leo actress wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “It’s disgusting to repeatedly see low lives and despicable human beings who will stoop down to any level to gain attention. Rest assured, necessary and severe action will be taken. Anything that needs to be said and done henceforth will be from my legal department.” In response to Trisha’s post on X, director Karthik Subbaraj wrote, “Go Trash them all. Disgusting MenKind!! More power to you. @trishtrashers.” Actor Vishal, who is the general secretary of the artists association, also condemned Raju’s remarks and wrote on X, “I just heard that a stupid idiot from a political party spoke very ill and disgustingly about someone from our film fraternity. I will not mention your name nor the name of the person you targeted because I know you did it for publicity. I definitely will not mention names because we are not just good friends but also mutual co-artistes in the film fraternity. What you have done is absolutely filthy. (sic)” Other celebs also joined in and slammed AV Raju. Now, Raju has released a video apologising for his remarks. He said, “I have received information that I have defamed the film industry people.

I was only speaking politically and not with regards to the film industry. I regret if I have said something which defamed industry people. I express my apology to the film industry and also the actor.”
