Madhya Pradesh Shivpuri-Kolaras MLA Birendra Raghuvanshi resigned from BJP. He informed about this on Thursday by holding a press conference at his own residence in Shivpuri. Raghuvanshi said, “I will decide on the future strategy after consulting the public.” He has blamed the party’s newcomers behind his resignation.
He wrote in his resignation, “There are many workers like me in the entire Gwalior-Chambal, who are being neglected by the new BJP.” Sources say that Raghuvanshi can join Congres. However, Raghuvanshi has not said anything like this yet. Raghuvanshi left Congress and joined BJP in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. He left the Congress due to his displeasure with Jyotiraditya Scindia. Now this displeasure also became the reason for leaving BJP. Raghuvanshi has said in his resignation that Jyotiraditya Scindia had toppled the Congress government saying that farmers’ loan waiver was not being done, but since then he has not talked about loan waiver till date. He has also mentioned the scams taking place in cooperative banks in the entire state including Shivpuri district. It is said that the farmers are upset, but there is no one to listen to the farmers. Votes were sought in the name of cow across the state, but no provision is made for the safety and security of cow. In the budget of 3.14 lakh crore, the budget is not allocated for the protection of mother cow. On repeated requests, the amount is given after three to four months. He said that no discussion is held on the issue of state interest in the Legislature Party meeting and other meetings in the party, rather the corrupt are defended. I am a public servant, feeling extremely suffocated and hurt in such an environment. In his resignation, he surrounded the minister in-charge of Shivpuri district, Mahendra Singh Sisodia, without naming him. It has been said that there were complaints several times in the past, but due to no action, workers like him are being neglected in the Gwalior-Chambal region. In the resignation letter sent to state president VD Sharma, MLA Raghuvanshi wrote, “The posting of corrupt officials in Shivpuri district and Kolaras assembly is being done only so that they can create hindrance in my every development work”.
