Authorities in Pakistan’s Kohat detained two brothers on Sunday for beating their 15-year-old sister for a year. Dawn is an English-language daily published in Pakistan.
According to officials, the victim went to the appropriate police station and told them that her true brother, Rehmat, and stepbrother, Ahmed, had been assaulting her for a long time and had threatened to murder her if she told anybody about her plight.
According to Dawn, officials stated the victim told them that her brothers routinely assaulted her in their home since she had no parents and was forced to live with them.
According to officials, police stormed the Merozai neighbourhood and arrested Rehmat. They further stated that the police raided Miangan Colony and arrested Ahmed there. According to Dawn, the accused were hauled before a judge who placed them on physical remand for further interrogation.
Meanwhile, ARY News reported that a seventeen-year-old girl was gang-raped and murdered on the Saddar, Okara grounds. According to accounts, the teenage victim’s brother stated that many boys in the village abducted her from her home.
