The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of the Customs department in Kerala, on Tuesday, seized gold from a passenger at the Kochi airport. According to the officials, the value of the seized gold is Rs. 38 Lakh in the bullion market. A total of 833.4 grams of gold was recovered. The gold in compound form, in transparent latex capsule, shaped packets was concealed in the rectum of the passenger.
Further investigation is underway.
