Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, lodged a request on Tuesday in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court. He sought permission for virtual consultations with his doctor three times weekly. These consultations are necessary to monitor his blood sugar levels and other vital parameters.

The jailed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief, Arvind Kejriwal, has informed the court of his urgent need for regular medical attention while in prison, citing fluctuating sugar levels as a primary concern. His lawyer stressed to the court the severity of the situation, highlighting that Kejriwal’s blood sugar had plummeted to 46 mg/dL during the initial days of his custody under the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The ED has requested additional time to provide a response. However, during the hearing, their counsel proposed that Kejriwal could utilize medical consultations offered by the jail’s healthcare professionals.

The next hearing is set for Thursday, April 18.Kejriwal was apprehended by the ED on March 21 in relation to the Delhi liquor policy case.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) sought more time to respond, yet its counsel hinted that Kejriwal could access medical consultations from the jail’s healthcare team. The next hearing is slated for April 18. Kejriwal, arrested on March 21 by the ED in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case, continues to navigate legal proceedings while managing his health concerns. The proposal for virtual consultations underscores the complexities surrounding his situation, blending legal and health considerations. As the case progresses, the balance between legal obligations and health requirements remains pivotal for Kejriwal’s well-being during his time in custody.
