Kathua Terror Attack: Second Terrorist's Body Recovered In Encounter

The recovery of the second terrorist’s body in the Hiranagar area of Kathua, following a recent terror incident, marks a significant development in the ongoing security operations in Jammu and Kashmir. In a series of encounters, security forces have successfully neutralized two terrorists responsible for an attack in Kathua.

The encounters, which unfolded overnight and into the morning hours, included engagements in the Hiranagar area of Kathua and Doda. The Doda incident saw terrorists targeting a joint party of police and Rashtriya Rifles, resulting in injuries to several personnel. Additional Director General of Police for the Jammu zone, Anand Jain, provided insights into the operations, highlighting ongoing encounters in the higher reaches of Doda.

Meanwhile, in Kathua, two terrorists were involved in the attack, with one killed last night and the other eliminated this morning. The terrorists employed tactics such as seeking water from local houses, raising suspicions among villagers and prompting an alarm. These incidents come amidst heightened tensions in the region, underscored by a recent terrorist attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi, which claimed nine lives. The successful neutralization of the terrorists reflects the relentless efforts of security forces in combating terrorism and maintaining peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
