Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar, stated on Sunday that they have fulfilled all their election promises, expecting a positive response from voters in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Speaking to ANI after attending the ‘Janaspandana’ event in Bengaluru, Shivakumar said, “The people of Karnataka are very discerning. Just as they voted in the assembly elections, this time they will vote wisely. We have fulfilled all our promises. We have kept our word.”

Responding to Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement predicting Narendra Modi’s third term as Prime Minister after the Lok Sabha results, Karnataka Deputy CM said, “Let’s wait for the result.”

Meanwhile, Congress MP DK Suresh expressed confidence, saying, “Without a doubt, this time we will win a good number of seats in Karnataka.” He added, “We have provided exemplary governance and have fulfilled all five promises we made. We have delivered.”

Earlier, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah accused the Modi government of not delivering on its promises to the people and questioned the arrival of “acche din.” Siddaramaiah claimed that his government had introduced the Karnataka model of development to the country.

Karnataka is represented by 28 MPs in the Lok Sabha. In the previous elections, the BJP won 25 seats, while the Congress and JD(S) won one seat each, and an independent supported by the BJP won one seat.

This time, the Janata Dal (S) has formed an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka just before the Lok Sabha elections.
