Actor Ananya Panday is gearing up for her OTT debut with the upcoming series Call Me Bae. On Wednesday, the show’s creators unveiled a new promotional video featuring Ananya alongside producer Karan Johar.

In the video, Ananya is depicted sitting in a spaceship while Karan Johar provides amusing instructions. He quizzes her on various aspects such as her ‘main character energy,’ ‘glam quotient,’ and ‘bank balance.’ Ananya interrupts to ask what he’s doing, to which Karan humorously replies that he’s preparing for her launch. He adds, “We live once, we die once, we marry once, but a launch can happen repeatedly.”

The video playfully showcases Ananya’s role as Bae and features her smiling as she discusses her character with Karan. Excited about diverging from her usual portrayal of a high-society princess, Ananya is thrilled to take on the role of Bae, a former South Delhi heiress now navigating the everyday challenges of Mumbai.

Ananya Panday, known for her previous roles as a high-class princess, is eager to explore this shift in character. Her new role involves playing Bella Bae Chowdhary, who transitions from a privileged background to dealing with the hustle and bustle of life in Mumbai.

The series also stars Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur. Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment and featuring Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra as Executive Producers, Call Me Bae is written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair, and directed by Collin D’Cunha. The show is set to premiere on Prime Video on September 6.
