Vice President Kamala Harris will make her return to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on October 8, marking her first late-night talk show appearance as a presidential nominee. Harris secured her nomination in August and has previously engaged with Colbert six times, with her last appearance on March 15, 2023.

Harris initially joined Colbert’s show on April 19, 2018, when she served as a US senator from California. During her upcoming appearance, she will be joined by Democratic vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz, who is scheduled to make his first late-night guest spot on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Both Harris and Walz will also feature in a ‘60 Minutes’ primetime election special airing on October 7. Correspondent Bill Whitaker will conduct in-depth interviews with the Democratic ticket as they campaign. Additionally, Scott Pelley will discuss the absence of the Republican ticket, featuring former President Donald Trump and Senator JD Vance, from this election special.

In related news, Harris recently appeared on the podcast ‘Call Her Daddy’ on October 6, where she asserted that Trump cannot be a protector of women. The episode drew criticism from right-wing commentators for not addressing allegations against her husband, even as Harris defended women’s rights.
