Border Security Force (BSF) troops, in collaboration with Punjab Police, have successfully recovered a made-in-China drone in Tarn Taran district, Punjab. According to a press release from the BSF, the operation was conducted following intelligence reports regarding the presence of a drone in the border area.

The search operation took place in a suspected area around 2:00 PM, leading to the recovery of the drone from a harvested farming field near village Wan. The recovered drone has been identified as a DJI Mavic 3 Classic, which is manufactured in China.

Ongoing Efforts Against Illicit Border Activities

The BSF’s press release emphasized the effective coordination between the BSF intelligence wing and Punjab Police, which resulted in the successful recovery of yet another illicit drone believed to have crossed the border.

This recovery follows a previous operation on Thursday, where BSF personnel confiscated 13 kilograms of suspected heroin in the Tarn Taran border district. The narcotics were concealed in a hume pipe, and the recovery was made based on reliable intelligence regarding narcotics trafficking in the area.

On the same day, BSF troops, in conjunction with Tarn Taran Police, conducted another search operation that resulted in the recovery of an improvised and assembled Pakistani drone, further highlighting the ongoing challenges faced in border security.
