During Saturday’s Quad summit, US President Joe Biden momentarily blanked out on stage after concluding his speech, appearing confused about who to call next. After finishing his address, Biden snapped at a staff member, asking, “Who’s next?”

The Quad summit, hosted by Biden in his hometown of Delaware, saw key leaders including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Japan’s Fumio Kishida. They jointly launched the Cancer Moonshot initiative, aimed at reducing cancer’s burden in the Indo-Pacific.

After discussing the Cancer Moonshot initiative, Biden was supposed to introduce PM Modi but forgot, saying, “So I want to thank you all for being here. And now, who am I introducing next?” Following a brief pause, he asked again, “Who’s next?” The event’s moderator then announced PM Modi’s name, who stepped forward for his address.

A user shared the video on X: “We really don’t have a president. Biden completely FORGOT he was at a press conference with the Prime Minister of India. The entire world is laughing at us. This guy is COOKED.”

Watch:

Netizens pointed out this as another incident of Biden stumbling or freezing during public speeches. Previously, in July, Biden had mistakenly referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as Russian President Vladimir Putin during a NATO summit in Washington.

Following the Quad meetings, Prime Minister Modi departed for New York. He is set to attend an Indian community event at Long Island on September 22 and deliver an address at the Summit of the Future during the UN General Assembly.
