The Model Code of Conduct for the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly elections will come into effect at the beginning of October. However, until now, no appointments have been made in the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) and the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB).
As a result, recruitment processes are being affected. If appointments of members are not made before the Model Code of Conduct, these positions will remain vacant until the formation of the new government after the elections.
It should be noted that there are currently three vacant positions in the Rajasthan Public Service Commission. Additionally, Babulal Katara, who is currently in jail in connection with a paper leak case, has not been removed from his position by the government so far. Consequently, the work related to his position in the Commission is also not being carried out. In this way, four positions are vacant in the Commission. In RPSC, there are seven members in total, excluding the chairman. Similarly, in the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board, two positions are currently vacant. Besides the chairman, there are four members of this board. It is worth noting that the government had appointed the chairman of the Staff Selection Board not long ago. However, members have not been appointed yet.
Upendra Yadav, the State President of the Rajasthan Unemployed Unified Federation, said that the government should make appointments to the positions of members as soon as possible. He said, “If appointments are not made before the Model Code of Conduct, recruitment will be affected, and the dream of employment for youth will not be fulfilled quickly. In this regard, a memorandum was submitted to the government on August 10.”
