External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jayshankar placed a report card on the ministry for the last nine years of the Modi government. In his interaction with the media, he had to answer at least a dozen questions on the recent visit of Rahul Gandhi to the USA. He blasted Rahul Gandhi for all the comments he made during his visit. At one point, journalists present in the briefing realised the nine years of Modi’s government were about Modi versus Rahul. A seasoned diplomat said at one point that perhaps he is not getting proper attention in the country, which is why he is trying to get some sympathy abroad. But political leaders should not talk about domestic politics abroad. Someone asked what would be Modi’s single-point achievement during the last nine years. Dr. Jayshankar smiled and answered, “Well, Modi is not leaving so early. So the time has not come to answer single point achievement now. In the 2024 Lok Sabha poll, he is coming back again.”Speculations on cabinet reshuffle in Modi Govt Recently, BJP President J P Nadda and other senior leaders started an in-house assessment of the performance of the central ministers. Rahul and Mamata to share same table?
Most of the Opposition parties are likely to meet on June 23 in Patna. Now the question is raised: what will be the seating arrangements of the leaders? Rahul Gandhi is supposed to attend the meeting. But TMC raised some questions about the protocols of the leaders. In the meeting, either the party president or chief ministers are invited. In what capacity Rahul Gandhi will join is being discussed among some of the leaders. The Congress party made it clear that Rahul Gandhi would attend the meeting along with party President Mallikarjun Kharge. Therefore, interesting questions are asked about whether Rahul and Mamata will sit together at the
same table.
