Civil Lines MLA Gopal Sharma set forth for Ayodhya on Sunday to partake in the historic idol consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple. A prominent figure in the Ram Janmabhoomi liberation movement, Sharma has received an invitation to the consecration scheduled for January 22 in Ayodhya.
The day commenced with Sharma’s visit to the Balaji Petrol Pump in Sodala on Sunday morning. Amidst the fervent atmosphere resonating with devotional hymns to Lord Rama, supporters of Gopal Sharma orchestrated a grand farewell. A chariot and stage were constructed for the occasion, creating a majestic setting for Lord Rama’s devotees.
As drums and bugles heralded his departure, the air echoed with chants of “Jai Shri Ram.”
Expressing gratitude to the gathered well-wishers, Sharma led the collective chant of “Jai Shri Ram.” A booklet titled ‘Namastubhyam,’ illustrating Sharma’s significant role in the Ayodhya movement, was inaugurated during this time.
