A meeting was held on Thursday at JMC heritage for the preparations of Rising Rajasthan Summit. The meeting was attended by Civil Line MLA Gopal Sharma, Commissioner Arun Kumar Hasija, Jaipur Vyapar Mahasangh officials, and other traders.  JMC heritage Mayor Kusum Yadav presided over the meeting. The meeting focused on the importance of welcoming the event’s domestic and international guests with open arms by offering them discounts on various Rajasthani products.  The Jaipur Trade Federation has announced a special shopping discount for tourists visiting the city during the upcoming Rising Rajasthan Summit, scheduled from December 9 to 11. The Jaipur Trade Federation has also expressed its intention to launch schemes and initiatives aimed at benefiting the residents of the city.
Sharma urged traders to roll out the red carpet for domestic and international guests attending the summit from December 9. He emphasised that Jaipur should showcase its hospitality with a Diwali-like atmosphere in the markets, creating lasting memories for visitors. He called on all traders to welcome the guests in traditional Rajasthani style, ensuring a warm and vibrant experience.
Mayor Kusum Yadav assured that all issues raised by traders would be addressed promptly, and she reiterated the city’s commitment to becoming cleaner and more beautiful ahead of the summit.
“Jaipur is a World Heritage city, and we will leave no stone unturned in ensuring its cleanliness and charm,” Yadav stated.
Subhash Goyal, President of Jaipur Vyapar Mahasangh, announced that guests would be offered discounts on shopping across Jaipur’s markets for the three days of the event. Additionally, a traditional gesture of draping a scarf and offering cardamom to guests will be extended as part of the warm welcome. Subhash Goyal, the President of the Jaipur Trade Federation, stated that all the shopkeepers in the city will be offering discounts ranging from 10% to 20% on their merchandise during the three-day event.
“The ‘Rising Rajasthan’ event is our way of welcoming tourists to Jaipur and providing them with an unbeatable shopping experience,” said Goyal.
“We want to make sure that every visitor feels special and finds something they love at a great price.”

Hasija also instructed for uniformity in the markets, advising that shop names be displayed in black on white strips for aesthetic consistency. These preparations are part of the city’s efforts to present a polished image to global investors during the Rising Rajasthan Summit.
