Dr. Priya Garg, a senior divisional medical officer at the Railway Hospital in Ajmer, has been recognized by the North Western Railways (NWR) for her exemplary life-saving actions at the Delhi airport. On July 14, Dr. Priya administered CPR to a 60-year-old man who had collapsed due to a heart attack, successfully reviving him.

Dr. Priya’s swift response and medical expertise were celebrated during a weekly review meeting in Jaipur, where NWR general manager Amitabh presented her with an appreciation certificate. Reflecting on the incident, Dr. Priya recounted, “An elderly man collapsed and the airport staff approached me. When I saw him, there was no pulse and he had stopped breathing. Therefore, I administered CPR and, fortunately, saved his life.”

Dr. Priya’s dedication and quick thinking have been widely praised, and a video capturing the moment, which went viral on social media on July 17, further highlighted her heroic deed. Expressing her sentiments, she said, “A doctor is always there to save lives.”
