On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, Bharatiya Janata Party President J.P. Nadda on Monday wished all the countrymen a Happy Independence Day.

Paying tribute to the great revolutionaries and freedom fighters who dedicated their lives to the freedom struggle. Nadda said “Happy Independence Day to all the countrymen. Tribute to the great revolutionaries and freedom fighters who dedicated their lives to the freedom of Mother India. This country will always be indebted to you. Greetings on this special Independence Day. Jai Hind!”

Earlier in the morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unfurled the national flag and delivered a traditional address to the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort. The Prime Minister was received by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of State for Defense Ajay Bhatt and Defense Secretary Dr. Ajay Kumar.

Meanwhile, under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, people are actively participating in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. The effect of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign started on Saturday was visible across the country.

However, the program envisages inspiring Indians everywhere to hoist the national flag in their homes. The Union Culture Ministry said that the program aims to make the association with the national flag more personal rather than keeping it formal or institutional.
