Like every year, superstar Anil Kapoor’s wife Sunita Kapoor organised the Karwa Chauth puja at her residence which was attended by star wives and actresses. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, celebrations of the festivals have been restricted this year. Divas like Shilpa Shetty, Neelam Kothari, Varun Dhawan’s girlfriend Natasha Dalal, David Dhawan’s wife Laali were spotted at Sunita Kapoor’s house for the celebrations. 

Shilpa shared a video on social media, giving a sneak peek into the celebrations and revealed that everyone had to undergo Covid-19 tests to join the puja. Priyanka Chopra also celebrated Karva Chauth in California with Nick Jonas. Kajol too celebrated Karva Chauth whereas Bipasha Basu shared last year’s pictures of celebrations on social media. TV actresses such as Charu Asopa, Smriti Khanna, Ashita Dhawan, Debina Bonerjee, Kamya Panjabi and Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya shared glimpses of their celebrations. 

Karva Chauth is a special festival for the newlyweds. Entertainment industry witnessed many weddings in recent times. Kajal Aggarwal, who recently got married to entrepreneur Gautam Kitchlu on 30 October, posted a picture of herself wearing a red outfit and a matching face mask. “Happy 1st Karva Chauth, Gautam,” she wrote. Newlyweds Neha Kakkar and Rohanpreet Singh also celebrated the festival with love and zeal. Raveena Tandon who is currently living in Dalhousie posted pictures celebrating Karwa Chauth virtually with husband Anil Thadani. All the ladies were clad in pink or red coloured dresses spreading love for their life partners. This year the celebrations were low key due to the pandemic but next year festivals will be back with the same excitement and happiness.
