Gaza’s Government Media Office reports that Israeli forces have carried out “an unprecedented brutal attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp,” resulting in dozens of fatalities and injuries, with many bodies left in the streets.

Israeli forces have launched air attack near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah, resulting in multiple casualties. Reports indicate both fatalities and injuries from the strikes.

The situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate, with the Director of Kuwait Specialty Hospital in Rafah stating that dozens of bodies lie on the streets, as rescue workers are unable to reach and aid the injured due to ongoing military activity.

The United Nations is set to add the Israeli army to its blacklist of entities harming children in conflict zones, a decision that has received support from human rights advocates who consider it “thoroughly justified.”

Meanwhile, Egyptian and Qatari mediators report that they anticipate Hamas will soon respond to the latest ceasefire proposal, indicating potential progress towards de-escalation.

The conflict, which began on October 7, has led to the deaths of at least 36,731 people and injured 83,530 in Gaza, according to recent figures. The revised death toll in Israel from Hamas’s attacks stands at 1,139, with many still held captive in Gaza.

The Israeli army issued a brief statement claiming its current operations are focused on targeting “militant” infrastructure in the Nuseirat area. Gaza’s Health Ministry, however, has reported numerous casualties from these actions.

Images emerging from central Gaza depict scenes of children and women being rushed to hospitals, highlighting the severe humanitarian impact of the ongoing conflict.
