The nightmare for the Delhi Capitals has continued in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, as the team has suffered five consecutive defeats.
Delhi Capitals (DC) Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly is still optimistic and thinks that his team can come back strongly and win the remaining 9 out of 9 matches in the tournament to remain in the contest.
Saurav Ganguly said in a video shared by DC that “we need to put this behind us.” We have to back the captain and back each other, and we are hopeful to come back strongly in the next match with fresh minds.
As a team, we are much better than what is going on in the field at the moment. It is a matter of one game to change the table, and we can do this. “David Warner, the skipper of the side, is the most important member of the team,” said Delhi’s Director of Cricket.
However, Ricky Ponting, the head coach of Delhi, sent a strong message to spinner Kuldeep Yadav, asking him never to say “sorry” to him’. The talk was in the air that Kuldeep apologised to Ponting for his poor performance as a bowler against the Mumbai Indians.
We have lost five matches in a row. At the moment Delhi Capitals have been occupying the last position in the points table in the ongoing IPL 2023. DC’s next outing will be against KKR at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday.
