Parshuram Mahakumbh’ is being organized by the ruling BJP in Karnal on 11 December. In a bid to ensure the successful conduct of the programme the party leaders hailing from the Brahmin Community are on their toes. The Brahmin stalwarts of the party are touring across the state appealing them to participate in it.
The BJP-backed Member of Parliament Kartikeya Sharma is also continuously active and inviting all sections of the society to be a part of the same. Political experts believe that the ‘Mahakumbh’ has far reaching political implications in the forthcoming Assembly elections to be held in 2024.
Many young BJP leaders have been entrusted with the responsibility of successfully organizing this Mahakumbh. Besides, the BJP MPs, ministers and MLAs of the Brahmin community will also participate in this. The Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will mark his presence in the programme as chief guest.
Kartikeya Sharma, who reached Rajya Sabha with the support of BJP, is continuously active in the political spheres which led to a stir in other opposition parties. BJP is also seeing great possibilities in him. Everyone is familiar with the fact he is a bigwig of the community and most likely to woo the voters from the community to come up in the support of the BJP. It is evident from the ongoing scenario that the party will give him a big responsibility in the coming days.
A few days ago, Kartikeya Sharma also participated in the program organized in this regard at Brahmin Dharamshala located in Pillukhera Mandi.
The Brahmin community has a significant role and interference in the politics of the state. Caste equations have always played a pivotal role in all elections with the Brahmin community playing the dominant role. No party seems in a position to ignore the voters of the community. Although, BJP has a sizable chunk of vote bank among the voters of the community. But the ruling faction and the community have been on eyeball to eyeball confrontation over a string of issues. The party witnessed a mild displeasure of the people of the community. The Chief Minister Manohar Lal is believed to come up with huge announcements for the community.
Now through this ‘Mahakumbh’, the party is putting its best to woo the Brahmin community. At present, there are many veteran leaders of the Brahmin community in the BJP namely, Rambilas Sharma Ram, MPs Ramesh Kaushik, Arvind Sharma, D.P. Vats and Moolchand Sharma who hold the portfolio of the state transport minister.
