Instagram’s latest feature adds a nostalgic touch reminiscent of Myspace by allowing users to attach music to their profiles. Partnering with Sabrina Carpenter, who teased her upcoming song “Taste” on Instagram, this feature lets users select a 30-second snippet from Instagram’s music library to showcase their musical tastes.

To use it, simply go to “edit profile,” choose a song, and pick a segment. Unlike Myspace, the song won’t auto-play; visitors will need to hit the play button. You can also update or remove the song whenever you like.
Instagram first introduced music to Stories in 2018 and later expanded it to Notes and photo carousels. This new feature aims to enhance user profiles and compete with emerging social media platforms like BeReal, Daylyy, and others that are attracting users seeking fresh social experiences.
