India’s Covid-19 infection tally climbed to 1,08,58,371 with 11,067 new cases in a day, while 1,05,61,608 people have recuperated so far pushing the national recovery rate to 97.27 per cent on Tuesday. There are 1,41,511 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country which accounts for 1.30 per cent of the total caseload. The death count climbed to 1,55,252 with the novel coronavirus virus claiming 94 lives in a span of 24 hours in the country. The Covid-19 case fatality rate stood at 1.43 per cent.

Delhi recorded 127 fresh Covid-19 cases and two new deaths on Wednesday, taking the overall death count to 10,884, a day after no coronavirus fatality was registered in the national capital. The zero single-day death was reported on Tuesday after nearly nine months. A total of 100 cases were reported on Tuesday. With the latest figures, the infection tally in the city rose to 6,36,387 and the death toll mounted to 10,884 so far.

Maharashtra on February 10 reported 3,451 new cases and 30 deaths in last 24 hours. In the corresponding period, 2,421 discharges were also reported. Maharashtra has so far reported a total of 20,52,253 cases, out of which 19,63,946 patients have recovered. The active caseload stood at 35,633, whereas, the death toll was recorded as 51,390.

Andhra Pradesh reported 50 new Covid-19 cases and 121 recoveries in the last 24 hours. Total cases in the state reached 8,88,605, out which 8,80,599 patients have recovered till date. The overall death toll was reported as 7,161, whereas, the number of active cases is 845.

Kerala reports 5,980 new Covid-19 cases, 5,745 recoveries and 18 deaths in the last 24 hours. Number of active cases are 64,346. Karnataka reported 415 new cases of Covid-19 and three related fatalities on Wednesday, taking the total number of infections to 9,43,627 and the death toll to 12,244. The day also saw 322 patients getting discharged after recovery.

Odisha’s tally climbed to 3,35,889 on Wednesday after 92 more people tested positive for the virus. The coastal state’s coronavirus death toll remained unchanged at 1,910 as no fresh fatality was reported since Tuesday.

Jharkhand’s Covid-19 tally rose to 1,19,116 on Wednesday as 61 more people tested positive for the virus. The state’s coronavirus death toll remained unchanged at 1,078 as no fresh fatality was reported. Jharkhand now has 464 active cases, while 1,17,574 people have recovered from the disease so far.
