This battle, fought in the Naushera Sector of Rajouri District in Jammu & Kashmir, stands out as one of the fiercest engagements of the conflict.

The Battle of Naushera holds a unique significance as local residents fought alongside the Army, displaying unwavering courage and selflessness to defend their Motherland, often disregarding their own safety and property. In homage to their invaluable contribution, the event was celebrated in the presence of residents, ex-servicemen (ESM), and civil administration authorities.

Interacting with the people of Naushera and ESMs, the GOC expressed gratitude to the gallant population for their unwavering support during the Battle of Naushera. He also acknowledged the significant role played by the Gurjar Bakarwal community in maintaining peace in the region, assuring them of the Indian Army’s continued support.

Additionally, activities such as a Cross-Country Run for the youth, a Cricket Tournament, and Professional and Vocational Courses were conducted as part of the commemorative efforts.
