A harrowing incident unfolded on Friday as a tractor carrying seven people overturned while crossing the Krishna River near Ichalkaranji, leading to a rescue operation.

According to the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), five individuals were successfully evacuated from the river by civilians, but two remain unaccounted for. The incident occurred in Akiwat village, Shirol taluka, Kolhapur district.
Swiftly responding to the emergency, an NDRF team from Shirol was dispatched to the site to conduct search and rescue operations. Local authorities are also assisting in the efforts.
