Watch: Classroom Wall Collapses In Gujarat School; One Injured

A video of a classroom wall breaking at Shree Narayan Vidhyalay, near Gurukul Crossroads on Waghodiya Road in Vadodara, Gujarat, went popular on social media. The event happened on Friday afternoon and harmed a class 7 pupil.

Dhairya Suthar, the wounded student, received primary care and three sutures. He’s said to be stable.

The collapse happened at break time, preventing a huge disaster because most kids were outside the classroom.

The fire department and police rushed swiftly to the situation. Officials confirmed that only a few bicycles stored beneath the classroom were damaged.

Rupal Shah, a senior teacher, described hearing a loud boom while in the office with other staff members, which prompted an evacuation. “One pupil was injured. He received stitches and was handed over to his parents. “No other students were hurt,” she said.

A school trustee stated that the structure, which was built in 2001, was not in poor shape. Another staff member stated that the school has all required credentials, including construction authorization and structural soundness.
