After the meeting, he addressed a press conference, highlighting the joint efforts of the Central and State governments to improve healthcare services in Uttar Pradesh.
One of the significant announcements made by the Central Minister was the establishment of Critical Care Blocks in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. These blocks will ensure that each district has a 100-bed hospital, equipped to handle health crises effectively.
Mandaviya also revealed that the cost of setting up one hospital would be between 40 to 50 crore rupees. Additionally, he mentioned plans to set up a state-of-the-art lab in each district to conduct 150 types of tests free of cost. These initiatives are part of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission, which aims to provide quality healthcare services to the citizens of Uttar Pradesh.
During the press conference, the Health Minister praised the healthcare services in the state, acknowledging the commendable work being done in the health sector. He expressed his intention to implement the successful practices observed in Uttar Pradesh at the national level, emphasizing the importance of learning from state-level successes.
Mandaviya also highlighted various healthcare initiatives that have been introduced in Uttar Pradesh. These include the Chief Minister Arogya Melas held every Sunday at primary health centers, providing assistance to beneficiaries through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) platform, and the Care app, which monitors equipment functionality in hospitals. Additionally, the E-Kavach app, designed to provide information on various diseases and vaccinations, will be implemented at the national level.
The Central Health Minister further revealed that there are approximately 6.6 crore beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Uttar Pradesh. Out of these, three crore people have already received their cards, and the remaining beneficiaries will be provided with their cards in the near future.
