UPSC CSE 2024 Prelims Admit Card: Expected Release Date, Exam Schedule, And Pattern

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is gearing up to release the admit cards for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam 2024 soon. Candidates who have applied for the UPSC Civil Service Exam 2024 can anticipate the release of their admit cards shortly.

As per the official schedule, the UPSC CSE 2024 prelim exam is slated to be held on June 16 across various examination centres. It is anticipated that the commission will unveil the admit cards approximately one week before the commencement of the exam. However, there is yet to be an official confirmation regarding the precise release date and time. Therefore, candidates are advised to stay abreast of the latest updates by visiting the official website regularly.

To download the UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2024 admit card, candidates can follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in
  2. Click on the notification link labelled ‘UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2024 admit card’
  3. You will be redirected to a login page where you will need to provide the necessary details
  4. Once logged in, the UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2024 admit card will appear on the screen
  5. Download and save the admit card for future reference

The recruitment drive aims to fill approximately 1,056 vacancies, including 40 vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability Category. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the prelims, mains, and interviews. Those who qualify in the prelims exam will progress to the UPSC Civil Services Main 2024 exam for further assessment.

The UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam consists of two papers of Objective type (multiple choice questions), carrying a maximum of 400 marks in the subjects outlined in subsection (A) of Section. Both question papers will be of two hours duration and will be set in both Hindi and English languages. The General Studies Paper-II of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will be a qualifying paper with a minimum qualifying mark set at 33%.
