In the last 24 hours up to Thursday evening, ten people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents across Uttar Pradesh, as stated in an official report.
The fatalities include three in Gorakhpur, two in Hardoi, and one each in Sambhal, Raebareli, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, and Sant Kabir Nagar, according to data recorded until 6 pm.
The report from the state relief commissioner’s office indicates that floods have affected 13 districts in the state: Lakhimpur Kheri, Kushinagar, Shahjahanpur, Barabanki, Siddharthnagar, Ballia, Gorakhpur, Unnao, Hardoi, Ayodhya, Budaun, Maharajganj, and Basti.
The rivers currently flowing above the danger mark include the Rapti in Gorakhpur, the Budhi Rapti in Siddharth Nagar, and the Quono in Gonda, the report added.
