On Sunday, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju flagged off ‘IIFL Jito Ahimsa Run’ for the cause of peace and non-violence, from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium,New Delhi.
The run is organized by the ladies’ wing of Jito (Jain International Trade Organization) and IIFL.
The IIFL Group, one of India’s biggest financial services conglomerates, intends to establish a Guinness Book of World Records. The IIFL Jito Ahimsa Run will begin today in over 65 locations across India.
Many famous personalities from across India have supported the run, which aims to introduce the younger generation to peace and non-violence at a young age in order to create a future generation where war and violence are a thing of the past.
The run will feature four set categories: a 21-kilometer half marathon, 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer timed runs, and a 3-kilometer fun run for beginners, families, and children. People of all ages, genders, and groups are welcome.
