UAE President Al Nahyan addresses Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024

UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan addressed at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 in Gandhinagar, highlighting the strong ties between the UAE and India, as well as with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Modi praised the UAE President’s remarks, expressing, “My brother, His Highness Sheikh @MohamedBinZayed not only supervised the @VibrantGujarat summit but also spoke at the summit. His statements were very encouraging.” Modi added, “India is proud of his ideas and efforts to strengthen India-UAE relations.”

Describing the UAE leader as “my brother,” Prime Minister Modi welcomed him to India, emphasizing the honor of his visit. A warm bond between the leaders was evident in pictures shared by Modi on social media, showcasing their embrace and hand-holding at the airport.

Ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, a roadshow was held in Ahmedabad, where the leaders were warmly received by the public. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra, and senior officials were present at the airport.

During the visit, India and the UAE signed several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), covering areas such as renewable energy, healthcare projects, and food park development. The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, initiated in 2003 under Chief Minister Modi’s leadership, is celebrating its tenth edition with the theme ‘Gateway to the Future’ and commemorating “20 Years of Vibrant Gujarat as the Summit of Success.” With 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations, the summit serves as a platform for showcasing investment opportunities, including those in the North-Eastern regions of India.
