Two Arrested in Madhya Pradesh for Assault on Army Officer and Friend

Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the assault of a young Army officer and his friend, while one of their female companions was allegedly sexually assaulted. The incident took place at the Military Headquarters of Warfare (Mhow) Infantry School, as per the First Information Report (FIR).

Six Suspects Identified, Two Arrested

Indore Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) Hitika Vasal informed that 10 police teams were involved in the investigation. They successfully identified six suspects, with two already in custody. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining four suspects. “Ten police teams carried out investigations, and we identified six accused. Two have been arrested, and efforts are underway to catch the remaining four as quickly as possible,” SP Vasal told ANI.

Incident at Army Firing Range

According to SP Vasal, the assault occurred at the Army firing range in Indore on Wednesday. The complainant reported that one of their female friends was taken to a secluded spot, and they heard her scream, raising suspicions of an assault.

“Police received information that four people were at the Army firing range late at night. Two people were thrashed, and the other two were told to bring ₹10 lakhs. The complainant mentioned hearing their female friend scream, making them suspect something had happened to her. A police team was dispatched immediately, but the accused fled the scene upon seeing them,” SP Vasal explained.

Statements Pending, Further Action Awaited

SP Vasal also mentioned that the women’s statements have not yet been officially recorded. Once their accounts are gathered, further action will be taken. The investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected soon.
