In his first address after Operation Sindoor, PM Modi firmly reiterated India’s unwavering stance on terrorism and its approach toward Pakistan. Addressing the nation, he laid out a clear policy roadmap while connecting India’s strength to its commitment to peace.

“India’s opinion is very clear. Terror and trade cannot go together and water and blood cannot flow together,” PM Modi declared, sending a decisive message to both domestic and international audiences.

Dialogue Only on Terrorism and PoK

Making India’s diplomatic position unmistakable, the Prime Minister added, “Today I will also tell the world community that our policy has been that if there is a talk with Pakistan, it will be on terrorism only, if there is a talk with Pakistan, it will be on PoK only.” This marks a significant reiteration of India’s priority on counterterrorism and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in any future dialogue.

Strength is the Foundation of Peace

On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, PM Modi reflected on the relevance of strength in achieving lasting peace. “Dear countrymen, today is Buddha Purnima and Lord Buddha has shown us the path of peace. The path of peace also goes through power,” he said.

He stressed that a strong India is essential for global peace, internal security, and prosperity. “It is very important for India to be powerful so that humanity can move towards peace and prosperity, every Indian can live in peace, and the dream of a developed India can be fulfilled. It is also necessary to use this power when required. This is what India has done in the last few days. I once again salute the Indian Army and the armed forces.”
