SpiceJet Cancels Flight Minutes Before Boarding, Triggers Protests At Delhi Airport | Video

In a shocking incident, passengers on board a SpiceJet flight entered into a heated argument with airline officials at the Delhi Airport on Saturday after the airlines cancelled the flight abruptly. This cancellation was issued merely five minutes before boarding.

The flight, SpiceJet SG 495, was supposed to take off from Delhi to Darbhanga in Bihar. Videos of angry passengers protesting at the airport quickly started doing the rounds on social media.

Angry passengers were seen shouting slogans such as “SpiceJet murdabad, murdabad” at the boarding gate in Terminal 3 of Delhi Airport. The passengers were protesting the last-minute cancellation of their flights.

Several passengers took to social media platform X to protest the development; called out SpiceJet for repeated cancellations and delays.

One passenger expressed his frustration over the cancellation of his Delhi to Goa flight thus: “Spicejet SG 211 flight from Delhi to Goa is being cancelled after repeatedly delaying it for multiple times. We have been waiting at the airport since 7:00AM in the morning and have been travelling since past evening from Shimla.”

Another passenger shared the experience of being on a SpiceJet flight from Ahmedabad to Varanasi: “T2- Spicejet Ahmedabad to Varansi flight. We have to wait for 30 mins like this due to unavailability of Securty staff. @ahmairport@AdaniOnline. this is not the kind of service we expect from an International airport.
