Siblings Die By Suicide After Mother’s Death In Bengaluru Tragedy

In a heartbreaking incident near the outskirts of Bengaluru, a 26-year-old woman and her 22-year-old brother ended their lives by jumping in front of a moving train in Sidlaghatta, Chikkaballapur district. This tragic event occurred early Friday morning as the siblings struggled with grief over their mother’s recent death.

The victims, identified as N. Navya and N. Prabhu, were hit by a speeding passenger train around 6:30 a.m., resulting in instant fatalities, according to the railway police, as reported by The Times of India. Navya was employed at a private company, while Prabhu worked as a daily-wage laborer.

Their father, Nataraj, disclosed that the siblings had been battling depression since their mother, Lalitamma, passed away four months ago. “They were very close to their mother,” he explained, noting the depth of their emotional struggles. Investigations are ongoing, and further details are awaited.

In a similar incident, a 57-year-old man also took his life by jumping in front of a train at the Doddakallasandra metro station in Bengaluru on Saturday. The police recovered the body and transported it to a hospital for post-mortem. The identity of the deceased has not been independently confirmed, and the reasons behind his actions remain unclear.
