A widening family rift in Lalu Prasad Yadav’s home have to come to public attention when four of his daughters left the Patna residence. The incident adds a fresh layer of trouble for the RJD, coming right after a tough electoral loss in Bihar.
In a clear sign of escalating tensions, Lalu Yadav's daughters—Rajlakshmi, Ragini, Hema, and Chanda, left their parents' home at 10 Circular Road in Patna. They travelled to Delhi with their children, according to news agency reports. Sources indicate the sisters were deeply disturbed by the recent turmoil within the family.Their departure is viewed as a strong show of unity and a signal that the internal dispute is growing beyond just one issue.
The chaos began after a fiery public outburst by another sister, Singapore-based Rohini Acharya, who declared she was cutting ties with the family and leaving politics. In her social media posts, Rohini made serious allegations, claiming she had been subjected to "filthy abuses." She further alleged that an altercation involving two of her brother Tejashwi Yadav's close aides escalated to the point where someone tried to hit her with a slipper.
The allegations have drawn a sharp reaction from the eldest brother, Tej Pratap Yadav. Posting through his party's social media account, he stated the episode had "shaken [his] heart to the core." He claimed that while he had tolerated many attacks on himself, the humiliation of his sister was "unbearable." In a direct appeal to his father, Lalu Yadav, Tej Pratap used strong language, accusing "a few faces" of clouding Tejashwi's judgment and vowing harsh consequences. Tej Pratap had earlier been expelled from the RJD after a series of controversies.

The feud erupts when the RJD is already at a low point. The party has suffered a major election blow, losing its strength from 75 seats to about 25. With both a public political setback and a personal family crisis happening together, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav face a tough test that threatens the future of one of Bihar’s most powerful political dynasties.
