Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday congratulated the people of Jammu & Kashmir for the unprecedented voter turnout in the third phase of the Assembly elections, marking a significant milestone in the region’s democratic journey. Shah highlighted that the high voter participation reflects the restoration of peace and a renewed sense of security in J&K.
“Congratulations to our sisters and brothers in Jammu and Kashmir for registering an unprecedented 69.65% voter turnout in the third phase of the Assembly polls held yesterday. Their enthusiastic participation demonstrates the return of peace and a sense of security in J&K under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji,” Shah stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The Home Minister also underscored the role of youth in shaping this transformation, attributing their trust in the democratic process to the development witnessed under the current administration.
