“Session for historic decisions…”PM Modi ahead of the special session of Parliament

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that “historic decisions” would be made during the special session of Parliament. Today at 11 a.m., the five-day special session of Parliament got underway. Prior to that, PM Modi told reporters outside of Parliament that all future decisions to make India a developed nation by 2047 will be made in the new Parliament building.

The special session’s second day, September 19, will see MPs relocate to the old Parliament building, where today’s meeting will be held.

“At this time, we all are feeling an atmosphere of enthusiasm and a new confidence in the entire country. At the same time, this session of Parliament is taking place. This session is short, but in terms of time, it is very big. This is a session of historic decisions. A speciality of this session is that the journey of 75 years is starting from a new destination,” he said.
“Now, while taking forward the journey from a new place, we have to make the country a developed country by 2047. For this, all the decisions will be taken in the new Parliament building,” he added.

The Prime Minister further exhorted each member to participate fully in this session, leaving behind old issues and bringing fresh ideas to this brand-new house.
