Security Forces Neutralize Terrorist in Encounter Operation in Pulwama, Kashmir

Security forces neutralized a terrorist during an operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday, according to police reports. The operation, involving a cordon and search, was initiated in the Fressipora village of the Rajpora area in the district’s southern part, following intelligence about terrorist activity in the vicinity.

The search operation escalated into an encounter when the terrorists opened fire on the forces, who retaliated. The clash resulted in the death of a terrorist, according to the police. Efforts are underway to determine the identity and group affiliation of the deceased, the police further stated.

“Body of one #terrorist retrieved. Identification being ascertained,” the Kashmir Zone Police stated in a post on X.

The police reported that arms, ammunition, and incriminating materials were recovered from the encounter site.

“Search going on. Further details awaited,” the police further added on X.
