Satyapal Malik Denies Corruption Allegations and Accuses BJP-Led Government
Alongside his health update, Satyapal Malik strongly denied the corruption allegations leveled against him. He claimed the BJP-led government was attempting to defame him through a false chargesheet.
“Whether I live or not, I want to tell the truth to my countrymen. When I was on the post of Governor, I was offered bribes of Rs. 150-150 crores, but I continued to work honestly like my political guru, farmer messiah late Chaudhary Charan Singh ji, and he could never shake my integrity,” Malik stated.
He further alleged, “The government is trying to find an excuse to trap me in a false chargesheet by threatening me with the CBI. I had cancelled the tender in which they wanted to trap me. I myself had told the Prime Minister that there was corruption in this case, and after telling him, I myself cancelled the tender. After my transfer, this tender was done with someone else’s signature.”
Malik Reflects on His Life and Political Career
The veteran politician reflected on his life and career spanning over five decades, emphasizing his modest lifestyle. “After a political career spanning 50 years, I still live in a one-room house and am in debt,” Malik said. He added, “If I had money today, I would have gotten treatment in a private hospital.”
Despite the serious health concerns and political turmoil, Malik appears determined to clear his name and communicate directly with the public.
