Rudraprayag Tragedy: Four Nepalis Killed in Debris Collapse Following Heavy Rainfall

In a tragic incident, four Nepali nationals were found dead after being trapped under debris near the Phanta helipad in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag following heavy rains on Friday, according to officials.

District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar stated that a rescue team was dispatched to the site after they were alerted about the situation around 1:20 am. “All four individuals trapped in the debris were found dead by the rescue teams,” Rajwar said. “They were all Nepali nationals, and their bodies are being transported to Rudraprayag by the District Disaster Rescue Force (DDRF) team.”

The rescue operation was conducted by teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the DDRF. “The individuals buried under the debris have been recovered by the rescue teams, but unfortunately, they were all found deceased,” the official added. “The victims have been identified as Tul Bahadur, Purna Nepali, Kishna Parihar, and Deepak Bura, all of whom were from Nepal.”
