The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has expressed full support for the Indian government and military after the launch of ‘Operation Sindoor’, an attack against Pakistan-backed terror groups. The operation was launched in response to the April 22 terror attack on Hindu tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement reported by ANI, the RSS stated, “We extend our congratulations to the leadership of the central government and our armed forces for bold action ‘Operation Sindoor’ taken against Pak-sponsored terrorists and their supporting ecosystem in the wake of the cowardly attack on unarmed tourists at Pahalgam. This measure to impart justice to aggrieved families and entire country in the brutal massacre of Hindu tourists has boosted self-respect and morale the entire country.”

The RSS also claimed that this military action was both ‘necessary and inevitable’ for Indian national security. “We completely agree that military action being launched against terrorists, their infrastructure and support systems in Pakistan is necessary and inevitable for the security of the country. In this hour of national crisis, the whole country stands with government and armed forces in spirit and action,” the organisation further added.

Warning Pakistan for its recent shelling of civilian areas and religious sites near the border, the RSS emphasized the need for national unity and watchfulness. It called on people to remain vigilant and interact with government officials.

“During this trying period, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh urges all citizens to make every effort towards complete adherence of instructions being issued by the government and administration. Along with this, while performing our sacred civic responsibility, we all must remain vigilant and do not allow any conspiracy of anti-national elements to prevail in destroying social harmony and unity.”

At the same time, the situation became heated as the Pakistani military also fired missiles at Jammu on Thursday, hitting civilian targets. Defence officials compared the act to Hamas-style attacks, employing cheap rockets aimed at urban areas. It is reported that this escalation was triggered just after India carried out nine precision strikes in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir under Operation Sindoor.

Also, it was discovered through sources that Pakistan even tried to launch swarms of drones over the Line of Control and International Border. Yet, the Indian Army Air Defence troops intercepted the threats, destroying more than 45 drones in areas such as Jammu, Udhampur, Samba, Akhnoor, Nagrota, and Pathankot with systems such as L-70 guns, Zu-23mm, Schilka, and various other cutting-edge anti-drone technologies.
