Rozgar Mela: PM Modi to Distribute 71,000 Appointment Letters Across India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually distribute over 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed recruits on December 23. The event will be conducted through video conferencing. Furthermore, the Prime Minister will also address the new appointees during the event.

Rozgar Mela: A Step Towards Employment Generation

The ‘Rozgar Mela‘ is a significant initiative aimed at creating more job opportunities for the youth. In this regard, it provides meaningful opportunities for young people to contribute to nation-building and empower themselves. This event emphasizes the government’s commitment to employment generation.

Recruitments Across the Country

Rozgar Mela will take place at 45 locations across India. New recruits will be assigned to various Central Government Ministries and Departments. These include the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Department of Posts, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and the Department of Financial Services, among others.

The government is actively working to fill vacant positions across Ministries and Departments. Consequently, these recruitment events are part of an ongoing mission to fill important government posts, ensuring efficient functioning in these sectors.

State-Level Rozgar Melas

In addition to the national Rozgar Mela, states are organizing their own events. Each state is managing initiatives focused on promoting employment and self-employment within its region. Therefore, these state-level events are crucial for fostering local job opportunities.

The government remains dedicated to enhancing employment opportunities and improving the employability of youth. As part of this, the Aatmanirbhar Bharat package offers fiscal stimulus and long-term schemes, which not only create jobs but also promote self-reliance.

  • Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Schemes

  • Prime Minister Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANdihi Scheme)

Flagship Programs Supporting Employment

Moreover, several flagship programs such as Make in India, Start-up India, Stand-up India, Digital India, Smart City Mission, Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation, and Housing for All are designed to provide nationwide employment opportunities. These programs, in combination, are key drivers in the government’s efforts to boost employment across the country.
