Rehearsals of President’s Carcade Held at Kartavya Path Ahead of Republic Day

Rehearsals for the Republic Day parade, including those for the President’s Carcade, are in full swing at Kartavya Path in the national capital. The upcoming Republic Day Parade on January 26 will feature, for the first time in the country, a tri-service contingent. Captain Sharanya Rao from the Indian Army expressed pride in leading the Army component of the tri-service contingent, highlighting that the theme this year is ‘Nari Shakti,’ with many women-led contingents participating.

Additionally, the parade will showcase all-terrain vehicles and specialist mobility vehicles that can operate in various terrains, including desert, mountainous, and snowy regions. Major Toofan Singh Chauhan, Contingent Commander for these vehicles, emphasized their versatility and capability to be airlifted for transportation.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attended a Republic Day parade camp organized by the National Cadet Corps, commending the dedication and talent of NCC students. Singh emphasized the importance of NCC in fostering physical activities, enhancing social skills, and instilling love and respect for the nation among students. He highlighted the role of a sense of national pride in India’s independence, citing examples of historical figures like Chandrashekhar Azad.
