Days after the tragic Ganderbal terror attack, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday called for reconciliation between India and Pakistan, stressing that Jammu and Kashmir is suffering due to the prolonged hostility between the two nations. She emphasized that dialogue is the only path to prevent such incidents in the future.
On Sunday, terrorists attacked a camp in Gund, Ganderbal district, killing seven people — including a local doctor and six non-local laborers — and injuring five others. The laborers were working on a tunnel project in the region. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir are caught in the animosity between these two countries. Their lives and property are being destroyed because of this ongoing conflict,” Mufti said, urging for a peaceful resolution to the tensions between India and Pakistan.
