Ravi Shankar Prasad Leads Indian Delegation to France to Expose Pakistan’s Terror Links

A multi-party Indian delegation, headed by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, arrived in Paris on May 25. The group includes former ministers, MPs, and a former ambassador. Their goal is to explain India’s firm stance against terrorism.

Engagements Planned with French Lawmakers

The Indian Embassy in France shared a statement on X about the visit. It said, “An all-party parliamentary delegation comprising of former ministers, Members of Parliament and a former Ambassador, led by Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, is visiting France from 25–27 May 2025, with a mission to convey India’s unequivocal stance against terrorism. The delegation arrived in Paris late this evening.” The delegation will meet members of France’s Senate and National Assembly. They will also hold discussions with think tanks, journalists, and members of the Indian community in France.

Broader European Outreach Underway

This is part of a larger diplomatic effort after the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam. The Modi government has formed seven such teams. These groups will travel to France, the UK, Germany, the EU, Italy, and Denmark. Their aim is to explain India’s Operation Sindoor and expose Pakistan’s links to terrorism. They will also share India’s zero-tolerance policy for terrorism in any form.

Operation Sindoor: India’s Strong Military Response

India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 in response to the deadly Pahalgam attack. In that attack, 26 civilians were killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists. During the operation, Indian Armed Forces struck terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. These strikes reportedly killed over 100 terrorists from groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

India Sends a Clear Message

The delegation led by Ravi Shankar Prasad will brief international partners about the Pahalgam attack and India’s counter-terrorism operations. They will also highlight Pakistan’s support for terror groups.
