Rajputana Rifles marches through Kartavya Path with slogan ‘Raja Ram Chandra Ki Jai!’

Rajputana Rifles, led by Lieutenant Sanyam Chaudhary of the 20th Battalion, marched proudly along Kartavya Path during the Republic Day parade, resonating with the war cry “Raja Ram Chandra Ki Jai!” The regiment, established in 1775, stands as the oldest Rifle Regiment in the Indian Army and holds the distinction of earning the first Victoria Cross in 1856. Renowned for its valor and courage, the Rajputana Rifles played a significant role during the Kargil war, capturing Tololing and Haneefuddin sector. The regiment, having received 10 Arjuna Awards, boasts athletes like Subedar Neeraj Chopra and Subedar Deepak Punia, who have excelled in the Olympic and Asian Games.

India’s Republic Day celebrations showcase its military prowess and cultural heritage at Kartavya Path. The parade highlights themes of Viksit Bharat’s cultural diversity, Aatmanirbhar military strength, and the empowerment of Nari Shakti. An unprecedented all-women Tri-Service contingent marches, and women pilots contribute to the Indian Air Force’s fly-past, embodying Nari Shakti. With around 13,000 special guests participating, the event encourages Jan Bhagidari, inviting people from all walks of life. The parade features tableaux from 16 states and nine ministries, accompanied by diverse folk dances, classical performances, and Bollywood styles. Tight security measures, including over 8,000 deployed personnel and advanced surveillance, ensure the safety of the event in Delhi.
