Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Ladakh extended till August 25

Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, has extended his trip to Ladakh until August 25, according to party sources.
Rahul will honor his father, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, on August 20 at Pangong Lake, according to party sources.

During his stay, he will visit the Kargil Memorial and speak with the children there.
A source added that he will watch a football game in Leh as well. Rahul played football while he was a college student.

Rahul is visiting Ladakh for the first time since Jammu and Kashmir were divided into Ladakh and J-K as a result of the repeal of Articles 370 and 35 (A) on August 5, 2019. The Congress MP made two journeys to Jammu and Srinagar earlier this year, but he skipped Ladakh. During his Bharat Jodo Yatra in January, he traveled to Jammu and Srinagar. In February, he returned to the Gulmarg ski area on a personal trip.
